NEWS!We received a very generous donation of $2000.00 from The International Brotherhood of Boiler Makers Locals 128, 73, 555, 146 and 359. Presenting the envelope full of cash are Rhonda Bock, Gordon Simmons and Ricky Richer.
On October 8th, 2019, we participated with Veteran's Transportation for our 6th Annual Stuff the Bus Food Drive. A total of 2316 articles of food and $40 in cash donations were collected!
The 2019 Tim Horton's Smile Face Cookie Campaign was a huge success! A total of $12,647.00 was raised for the Foodbank. Volunteers had a blast putting the smiles on the cookies and donors had a great time eating them!
Pictured is the display table we had at the mall in September 2019 in recognition of Hunger Awareness Week. We are proud to have partnered with Espanola High School and Franco Ouest for the After The Bell Program to ensure that no student goes hungry.
We are always looking for volunteers for our fundraisers like the Lion's Food Drive, Annual Garage Sale, Tim Horton's Smile Face Cookie Campaign, Stuff the Bus and others. We have such a wonderful generous community!
We thank the Espanola Legion Br. 39 for their ongoing support as we hosted the meat roll-offs for the month of October 2018.
On October 4th, 2018, we held our annual Stuff the Bus and collected over 1600 articles of food which was a great help. We thank Veteran's Transportation for their on-going support.
The Annual Lion's Club Food Drive was held on May 18, 2018. Volunteers from both the Lion's Club and the food bank collected food from Freshco, Winkle's YIG and Giant Tiger. A total of 2630 articles of food were collected and $1000 in cash was raised.
On May 28, 2018, the Espanola Knight Kruizer's held their annual car show and food donations were collected for the food bank. A total of 129 articles of food and $108.50 in cash was raised.
On June 7, 2018, the Annual RBC Food Drive was held at Giant Tiger. 520 articles of food and $117 in cash were collected.
Hunger Awareness Week is September 17-21 2018. We are holding an open house on Wed. Sept. 19/18 from 3-6pm and everyone is welcome.
